GIFT Campaign Report
(1 January 2019 – 31 December 2019)

The GIFT (Giving in Faith and Thankfulness) campaign was launched in Advent 2016 to support the archdiocese’s vision of a more vibrant, evangelising and missionary Church. This report updates on the campaign’s progress.

PROGRESS TO DATE (2016-2019)

Catholic Foundation has been campaigning for greater support for the needs of the archdiocese through GIFT. Following its annual appeal during Advent, $3.3 million was collected in the last quarter of 2019. Total contributions for the year amounted to $14.9 million.

We continue to be grateful for the support from parishes, and the Catholic community. We would like to especially express our thanks for events initiated and organised by various groups, including two Catholic schools, for the benefit of the GIFT campaign.

UPDATED FUNDRAISING TARGET (2020-2023)

Following the archbishop’s direction, over the next four years, Church organisations will be scaling up their programmes and initiatives to increase the missionary momentum of the Church. The Catholic Hub will be developed in phases with the targeted completion of the first phase by 2023. Taking these factors into account, an estimated $78 million, or nearly $20 million annually, will be needed for the next four years.

YOUR SUPPORT IS VITAL

To meet this stretched fundraising target for the archdiocese, we appeal to every Catholic to consider pledging a regular monthly contribution to the Church. GIFT provides online and offline means to facilitate contributions.

We thank you for your support and hope you will continue to contribute your time, talent and resources for the needs of our archdiocese, and for the future of the Church.
