The Hub is God's gift, God's gift to our Archdiocese, and because of that gift, that vision, you and I have been invited to make it a reality, and it has only been possible because of your generosity. The Hub is more than a building, much more, it is a place for you and me to come and to encounter the Lord God, to grow in faith with the Lord God and one another, and to be Church, to be Church together, and then to be sent out into the world as bearers of good news.

The logo itself has been a journey of communion. Many people have had a part to play in it. From those who helped us develop the identity of the Hub, to our Archdiocesan officers who helped us in reaching out to many, and to many of you and the faithful in the diocese who shared their views with us.

We listened, we reflected, and we refined the design together, and with His Eminence's blessing, we are very happy to share with you the logo tonight.

So let me share with you what the logo means. At the very heart of the logo are the letters IHS.

They remind us of the Holy Name of Jesus, and this is where you and I must begin as a diocese and as a Hub.

Because at the heart of the Hub is not a building. It's not the organizations that will come there. It's not even the many programs that we will offer. At the heart of Catholic Hub is Jesus Christ Himself. Around the Holy Name of Jesus is a circle reminding us of the Eucharist, the source and center of our communion. Christ gathers us and makes us one. And it is this hope that we have of what the Hub can possibly be more fully.

That place to come together, that place to pray together, that place to work together, and that place to serve together as Church.

Then there is the open gate. A gate that welcomes you and me and so many others to the Hub. To come and enter to the Hub. To encounter Christ at the Hub. To grow in faith with Christ at the Hub.

To walk with Christ together at the Hub and beyond. We hope that Catholic Hub will be such a place, a place of welcome, a place of belonging, where all of us can journey together in faith.

But we cannot remain within the gate. The cross always extends outwards. Because the formation that you and I will receive at the Hub to be missionary disciples cannot end there. Nor is it an end in itself.

In formation at the Hub, we want to encounter Jesus. We want to grow with Jesus. We want to be renewed with Jesus and by Jesus. And the Lord will do this to send us forth into the world, to be his witnesses to all, and to make many others disciples of Christ.

At the tip of the cross are what look like leaves. They remind us that you and I are rooted in Christ. And we are called by the Lord himself to grow and to bear fruit.

When all these elements come together, they form a star. A beacon of Christ's light that is our hope, illuminating the darkness and guiding us on our journey.

In the Gospel of John, Jesus says, and I, when I'm lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.

And perhaps this is what we hope most and pray for, for the Hub. That everything we do there will ultimately draw people closer to Christ, as Bishop said.

So my sisters and brothers, the building of the Hub, of our Catholic Hub is almost complete.

But the building is only the beginning. When Catholic Hub begins operating from mid-2027, we invite you to join us to continue walking together and building together. Not simply to build a facility, but to build a living community.

A community of communion, formation and mission. Because your generosity builds walls first. But your generosity does something far more important. It builds the community we want and what will happen at the Hub that we want to be together.

God's gift to the Diocese. Catholic Hub for the Diocese. A place of communion, a home of formation, a springboard for mission and a beacon of the like of Christ for the world. And may we build it together.

So my friends, it is with great humility and much joy that Catholic Foundation and Catholic Hub is so pleased to unveil the new logo of Catholic Hub.
