The GIFT (Giving in Faith and Thankfulness) campaign was launched in Advent 2016 to support the Archdiocese of Singapore’s vision of a more vibrant, evangelising and missionary Church. This report provides updates on its progress for the third quarter of 2024.
GIFT contributions in the third quarter of 2024 (July – September) amounted to $6.4 million, an increase from $4.1 million in the previous quarter.
This increase was primarily due to the funds raised for the Pope Francis Singapore 2024 restricted fund, and contributions from the Catholic Foundation Dinner.
We are heartened by the immense support shown by the faithful for the Papal Visit from September 11 – 13 which included the second collections during the second weekend Masses from June to September 2024 at parishes.
The annual Catholic Foundation Dinner on September 18 held in conjunction with the Angelico Art Award auction, dedicated the efforts for the Catholic Hub building project.
Our Archdiocese came together as one to welcome Pope Francis, and many of us have experienced what it means to be one Church, rejoicing and praying with and for one another. Just as His Holiness blessed us, let us continue to bless others and light their way to Christ, by supporting the mission of the Church.
