This artwork is inspired by Jesus' deep connection with the Father and His perfect reliance on divine strength.
 
Jesus lifted His eyes to Heaven when in prayer — not because Heaven is above us, for it is a spiritual reality and the Father is everywhere, but to teach us to look beyond what is seen toward the unseen presence of God. In John 17:1, before His crucifixion, He prayed, “Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son also may glorify you,” revealing His perfect reliance on the Father. As we pray, may we too lift our eyes, heart, and lives to God, seeking the grace to imitate Christ’s devotion, love, and obedience to the Father’s will.
