GIFT Campaign 2023 Full Year Update

GIFT Campaign Report (1 January 2023 – 31 December 2023)

The GIFT (Giving in Faith and Thankfulness) campaign was launched in Advent 2016 to support the Archdiocese of Singapore’s vision of a more vibrant, evangelising and missionary Church. This report provides updates on its progress for the calendar year 2023.

Through the grace of God, a total of $145.9 million has been raised since the inception of Catholic Foundation’s GIFT programme. In 2023, the Foundation raised $21.0 million to fund the operations of key Catholic organisations, clergy welfare, sinking funds and the building of the Catholic Hub.

The number of active pledges fell from 4,227 at the end of 2022 to 4,065 at the end of 2023. We therefore urge every Catholic to sign up for a monthly GIFT pledge, as regular giving is the most sustainable means of supporting our Church. Make a pledge here: www.catholicfoundation.sg/give

An increase in ad hoc contributions meant that there was sufficient funding to support the growth of our Church in Singapore and Her crucial work of formation and evangelisation.

We are heartened by the immense support from several responses towards the Foundation’s appeal for the Catholic Hub, which is key to the mission of the Church. In particular, the Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary raised funds through their parish’s 70th anniversary celebrations, and two young sisters, Rebecca and Rachel, designed and handcrafted earrings as tokens of appreciation to those who give to their fundraising project. Angelico Art Award 2024 – Calling all artists!

The Angelico Art Award is a platform for artists to experience and express their faith through art as a medium. Recognising the need for greater contemporary and local expressions of Christian art, the award seeks to promote art as a channel for Christian artists to develop their artistic practices.
