Gift Campaign April 2019 Updates

GIFT Campaign Report
(1 January 2019 – 31 March 2019)

The GIFT (Giving in Faith and Thankfulness) campaign was launched in Advent 2016 to support the archdiocese’s vision of a more vibrant, evangelistic and missionary Church. Every Catholic is challenged to pledge a monthly contribution for the needs of the archdiocese. This report updates on the campaign’s progress.

CONTRIBUTIONS TO DATE

From January to March 2019, a total of $2.7 million was collected. Since its launch in November 2016, GIFT has raised $40.4 million.

In the last few months the construction of two major buildings – the St Francis Xavier (SFX) Seminary Building and the Bethany East home for retired priests – was completed. The focus on fundraising will continue for the operating needs and capital needs of the Church in Singapore.

Thank you for your generosity thus far and playing a part in helping to resource the needs of the Church.

The future of the Church does not rest solely on the shoulders of the clergy, but with the laity generously using their God-given gifts too. We look forward to your continued support.

Walk with the Lord!
The feast of Corpus Christi is a celebration of the real presence of the body and blood of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist.

The Office for the New Evangelisation (ONE) is organising an adoration and procession of the Blessed Sacrament specially for little ones (aged 4-6 years old). We invite you to come as a family and encounter Jesus.

Pray with the Church!
For our Church to sustain its growth and face all the challenges of present times, we need to ask God for His protection, pray for the Holy Spirit to continue to enlighten and empower us to evangelise, and pray that all of us will continue to grow in holiness and service of God’s providence and will.

As Mother Church, the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd will be holding monthly Archdiocesan Prayer Mission Masses, benediction and reflection from 7.30pm to 9pm on the following dates. All are welcome.
