GIFT Campaign Report
(1
July 2022 – 30 September 2022)

The GIFT (Giving in Faith and Thankfulness) campaign was launched in Advent 2016 to support the Archdiocese’s vision of a more vibrant, evangelising and missionary Church. This quarterly report gives an update on the campaign’s progress this year.

GIFT collections for the most recent quarter (July to September 2022) amounted to approximately $3.6 million. This has brought total collections for the year to about $9.3 million.

There is a noticeable decreasing trend in ad hoc giving, which was largely offset by an increase in GIFT collections through parishes. This could be an encouraging indication of Catholics returning for physical Mass.

Restricted funds saw a spike in collections, receiving over $1.3 million in the 3rd quarter. This is largely due to the support shown for the Catholic Foundation Dinner 2022. The annual dinner was fully sponsored, allowing all table sales and contributions made through the dinner to be channelled directly to the Catholic Hub restricted fund.

Collections through regular pledges returned to $1.2 million in the 3rd quarter after a slight drop earlier this year. Regular giving remains a priority in our long-term strategy to ensure a sustainable source of funding to support the Archdiocese. We appeal for each Catholic to sign up for a regular pledge as it will go a long way to ensure that the needs of the Church are met.

Thank you for your continued support as we build the Church today for tomorrow.
